‘White Lanes of Summer’

A collection of mixed media paintings inspired by the summer landscape around Llanmelin Wood Hillfort in Monmouthshire.

A result of many walks along familiar paths, these studies, created from memory, recollect forms and shapes in the landscape, now translated into colour and expressive marks. Like much of my work, they aim to explore the connection between sense of place and the passage of time.
